Questions owners ask
Does the test harm the camel?
No. The sample is a few hairs or a small blood sample, and it takes only seconds.
My camel has a brand and a microchip — why do I need the genetic fingerprint?
A chip says "this is camel number so-and-so"; the genetic fingerprint proves both its identity and its lineage, and it cannot be forged or swapped. It is also the foundation of every other result in the report.
Can the test tell me how my camel will perform in a race?
No test can accurately predict a race result — beware of anyone who promises you that. What we provide is a verified genetic foundation that helps you make better breeding decisions.
Does the test detect genetic diseases?
The test does not diagnose specific diseases — known disease mutations in camels are still under research worldwide. It does reveal the biggest source of genetic weakness, close inbreeding, and guides you to avoid it before it happens.
Do I need to test the sire and dam to prove parentage?
Yes — proving parentage requires testing both parents, or their presence in the genetic registry. The more camels enrolled, the more kinship links we can detect automatically.
When will I receive the report?
The Madani team visits to take the sample within 14 days of your order, and samples ship to the lab in consolidated batches. Your report arrives within 7–9 weeks of sample collection, as a PDF over WhatsApp, and is also recorded in the Madani app.
