Terms & Conditions — Genetic Testing

1. Description of the service

Madani provides a genetic (SNP) test for the sampled camel. The service has three stages: field collection of a sample from the sampled camel, laboratory analysis, and a results report delivered to you once analysis is complete.

2. What the test confirms — and what it doesn't

• The test confirms: the genetic identity of the sampled camel, the kinship coefficient between its parents, and the degree of relatedness with any other sampled camel you test.
• The test alone does not confirm: the sampled camel's parentage to a specific father or mother. Confirming parentage requires testing both sides — the sampled camel and the claimed father (or mother).
• The test is not a health or disease screen, does not predict racing or beauty-pageant performance, is not a breed-purity certificate, is not an official or government document, and does not replace a veterinary exam.

3. Price and payment

AED 1,450 per sample, paid in full at the time of order. This is the final price and nothing is added to it; it includes any applicable tax. The price applied is the price advertised at the time you place your order.

Free genetic consultation: every order of 5 samples or more includes a private one-hour genetic consultation at no charge. It is scheduled over WhatsApp after the results are delivered, is part of the service, and has no cash value and is not refundable.

4. Sample collection

The service is currently available within the United Arab Emirates only, because sample collection is done through a farm visit.

• The sample is collected by the Madani team or a collector we authorise.
• The owner of the sampled camel is responsible for providing safe access to the collection site and for safely restraining the sampled camel during the visit.
• We confirm the visit with you over WhatsApp one day before it takes place.
• The sample is collected within 14 days of payment.
• Please tell us at least 24 hours before the visit if you wish to cancel the appointment.

5. Timelines

• Your result arrives within 7–9 weeks of the date the sample was collected — not from the date you ordered.
• Samples are shipped to the lab in batches, so we may wait for enough samples to accumulate before shipping.
• The date we announce to you when you place your order is our commitment.

6. Cancellation and refunds

There is one clear cut-off: the moment the samples are shipped to the laboratory.

Special cases:

• Delayed result: if Madani fails to deliver the result within 9 weeks of sample collection, you may choose between waiting or a full refund.
• Analysis fails for technical reasons: a free retest or a full refund, your choice.
• The sampled camel dies or is sold before collection: a full refund, or a substitution with another sampled camel at no charge.
• Verification fails at the visit (a wrong or missing visit code, an owner-name mismatch, or a microchip registered to another customer): the automatic refund does not apply and the payment is held pending Madani's review. Genuine mix-ups are rescheduled at no charge.

7. Delivery of the result

We send your result as a PDF file over WhatsApp, to the number registered on the order, and it also appears in the Madani app when you sign in with that same number.

8. Use of data

Madani may use genetic results in aggregated, de-identified form for research, service development, and building a reference database for camels. The sampled camel's or its owner's data is never published individually, and is never shared with any third party in a way that would allow the owner to be identified.

9. Customer responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the identity details you enter for the sampled camel when ordering, including its microchip number, if it has one.
• An incorrect identity claim for the sampled camel is not grounds for a refund.

10. Limitation of liability

In all cases, Madani's liability is limited to the amount paid for the sample in question. Madani bears no responsibility for mating, sale, or purchase decisions, or for any indirect losses arising from reliance on the result. The result is a scientific report based on the sample submitted, and is not a guarantee of any trait, value, or performance. The result is only as accurate as the sample submitted.

11. Privacy

We process your data in accordance with Madani's Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use and protect it.

12. Governing law and amendments

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. We may update these terms from time to time; no amendment applies retroactively to orders placed before the date of the amendment. In the event of any discrepancy between the Arabic and English versions of these terms, the Arabic text governs.
